Mark Hackett

Mark’s career in the financial industry has spanned over twenty-five years. He has lived in the Cotswold’s his entire life and been providing holistic financial advice to clients across the length and breadth of the Cotswolds and surrounding area since 1994.

Having founded Hackett Wealth Management in 2001, his passion for wealth management ultimately led him to be invited to join the prestigious St. James’s Place Wealth Management in 2009. His ethos evolves around continuing to deliver clients a true wealth management experience based upon building long term, trusted relationships. Mark's areas of expertise fall within Asset Management, particularly regarding Pension and Investment planning.

Hackett Wealth Management is a Senior Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management, where the core values of "Quality, Integrity and Excellence" are maintained alongside a team of specially selected individuals chosen by Mark himself. Ensuring the team are happy and the business is running smoothly is a key testament to their success, as Mark is an accomplished true 'people' person. Always available on the end of the phone, he is completely committed to providing clients a truly unique experience and strives to add value and substance to their financial position over the longer term.

Mark’s other passion is football; he was a keen sportsman from a young age and played football and cricket at a competitive level throughout his youth. He can often be found heading to the Northeast with his two sons to watch Sunderland football club. Mark and Kara enjoy time with their family, supporting their boys various sporting pursuits and family holidays.

Kara Hackett

Kara is married to Mark and shares his vision of how a true wealth management proposition should be delivered. Joining Mark in 2016 at Hackett Wealth Management.

Kara’s previous experience was in the luxury hospitality industry. With over 25 years experience in Sales and Marketing within the high net worth client area ensuring engagement and delivery of guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.

This past experience will support Hackett Wealth Management to provide the best possible service for their clients. She manages the day to day running of the practice, liaising with both clients and advisers.

She enjoys family time and supporting her two boys sporting activities, travel and excellent food and wine.

Chris Ford, Financial Consultant

Chris has worked in face to face Financial Services for over 34 years, having originally started with Cooperative Insurance. Over the years much has changed in personal finances but one thing remains constant – his clients trust him to look after them and always know that working face to face with an adviser over the long term really makes a huge difference to their planning. That’s why he looks after several generations within the same family. Chris’s areas of expertise are family protection, pension and investment planning.

A keen footballer from a young age, Chris played competitively before focusing on financial services. Chris enjoys cooking for his friends and can often be found watching Bristol Rovers Football Club.

Tony Wenban, Mortgage and Protection Adviser

Tony joined Hackett Wealth Management in January 2018 following the acquisition of his long-standing wealth management business. With over 25 years of experience in the Financial services industry and the last 18 years of this time at St. James’s Place Wealth Management as a Senior Partner. Tony always has an emphasis on developing and maintaining long-term relationships with his clients and is a specialist adviser in mortgages and protection.

Away from the office, Tony enjoys a busy social life, holidays with his wife and he is a devoted Arsenal supporter and can be found at every home match.

Zach Bunce, Practice Administrator

Zach joined the Hackett Wealth Management team in September 2018 as a Practice Administrator after completing his A levels. Zach has now completed his Business Administration qualification through the Government Apprenticeship scheme and we are his sponsor for the St. James’s Place Next Generation Academy which will take him through the next 12 months to complete all of his industry exams to be fully qualified as an adviser within Hackett Wealth Management.

Zach provides invaluable support to the advisers and team, directing any queries you may have to the appropriate adviser, handling incoming correspondence and ensures it is dealt with in a timely manner, professionally liaises with our clients and existing providers, collates information to present to our clients and helps to keep the office running efficiently.

In his spare time his passion is football and rugby, until recently he was a football referee for both adults and children in the Hellenic league and North Wilts League. Recognition for his hard work saw him being awarded the Young Referee of the year.
